Did you ever wonder what the most effective counter terrorism measures would be? while secular governments would immediately use military hardware, we on the other hand know too well the limitations found in the use of such strategies.
First and foremost, we have to be bold enough to identify the specific group responsible with the greatest number of terrorist activities in recent times. We would immediately agree that more than 90% of all terrorist actions today are undertaken by Moslem extremists. It is also to be noted that the trend is fast gaining grounds and is fast becoming a great movement spreading from the Middle East to Europe, then Africa and is fast taking root even in America.
We must also know that this terrorism is driven by strong religious ideological convictions. While a thief or murderer might be aware he is committing a crime, a religious extremist does not consider himself a wrong doer. He rather considers his actions as the greatest sacrifice and service to Allah. The greatest weapon would be to counter their ideology and prevent it from spreading further.
